Club Updates - 13/11/2017

It's been a while since we've had an update here. Most of our activity has been channeled through our Facebook page and hopefully everyone is being kept up to date. If there are ever any queries please feel free to message us or contact us through the web page.

The season is well under way at this stage. Getting as much football as possible for the boys is what we strive to do. Some teams have been left without games and some of our recent inclement weather hasn't helped matters either. Managers/coaches are always on the look out for games, when required, but sometimes it can be hard to get times that suit at different age levels. We hope the lads feel that they are getting football and, more importantly, that they are enjoying their football.

We've had some ups & downs so far in the season. We had no joy in the early cup competitions. Unfortunately all of our teams exited at the early stages. Our league form has been better though. Of course there have been defeats but we've had some good wins also and the constant theme, through all ages, is good football. From U7 to U15 the common thread is playing the ball on the ground, looking for a pass and players willing to express themselves on the football field. It's great to see and long may it last.

2018 Club Calendar
We are in the process of getting our 2018 Calendar together. A lot of work goes into this and we are pushing to have it available for distribution a few weeks before Christmas. The St. Joseph's FC 'Photo Shoot' is taking place this week (Nov 13th - 20th) and we need to have as many players present as possible. Our photograper, Alan Hunt, is kindly giving up his time to take the photos so we need to move through all age groups this week.
The club calendar is one of our main fundraising drives so we do hope that as many parents as possible will support this and purchase the calendar. We do feel that it is a lovely memento to have and a good Xmas stocking filler for friends & family. Our local business have been very supportive and this is really appreciated. Please support our sponsors where possible.
